How many times last year's celebration of Chinese New?
I read the same day, January 26, 2009, but the celebration normally extend beyond that date?
Like Christmas in many countries Western Spring Festival is the biggest holiday in China. It starts from the first day of the first Chinese lunar month and lasts until the 15th day this month. But in reality, ordinary families, the Spring Festival starts in the early days of the lunar month 12. The 23rd day of the 12th lunar month is called Preliminary Eve. In ancient times, people offered sacrifices to the god of the kitchen. However, people are preparing delicious food for fun now. The last day of the Spring Festival is the Lantern Festival, the 15th day of the first lunar month.
